Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V
The Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V is a fully automatic, high-power battery charger that’s perfect for charging any type of 24V batteries. Charge voltage can be precisely adjusted to suit any sealed or unsealed battery system. Sealed maintenance-free batteries need to be charged correctly to ensure a long service life. Overvoltage will result in excessive gassing and venting of a sealed battery. The battery will dry out and fail.
Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V battery charger is compatible with both AC and DC supply (AC-DC and DC-DC operation. It accepts any mains supply that delivers 90-265 V AC with frequencies ranging from 45 to 65 Hz. Skylla-TG chargers also accept DC supply that ranges from 90 to 400 Volts DC.
The Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V, like other Skylla-TG models, also features controlled charging. This battery charger has a built-in microprocessor that accurately controls the charging in 3 steps. These high-power chargers charge batteries in accordance with the IUoUo characteristic, which is a 3-stage charging characteristic. While charging, this device will continuously measure the battery voltage and then recalculates the charging voltage and current based on the measured values.
Since it offers perfectly stabilised output voltage, the Skylla-TG high-power battery chargers can be used as a power supply in cases when batteries or large buffer capacitors are not available. This device also features 2 isolated outputs, where the second output is limited to 4A and has a slightly lower output voltage, which is intended to top up a starter battery.
Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V features 2 battery outputs that can charge two 24V battery banks. The second output has limited current of approximately 4A and also has a slightly lower output voltage. This second output is intended to top up a starter battery.
Skylla-TG high power battery chargers also feature temperature compensation to increase battery life. Skylla-TG models comes with a battery temperature, and when it is connected, the charge voltage will automatically decrease as the battery temperature increases. This feature is especially ideal for sealed batteries which otherwise might be overcharged and dry out due to venting.
The Skylla-TG 24/30(1+1) 230V is also equipped with a battery voltage sense facility. This feature compensates for the voltage loss caused by cable resistance and ensures that the battery is always receiving the right amount of charge voltage.
