Product Description

The Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30(1+1) 230V, is one of the chargers in the Phoenix Smart IP43 series. It’s designed to monitor, control, protect, and prolong the service life of the batteries. It is easy to use and is compatible with any smart device with built-in Bluetooth such as smart phones or tablets. Connecting it with a smartphone, tablet or smart device will allow the user to monitor, change the settings or update this Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger.

The Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30(1+1) 230V offers two outputs for charging two battery banks. The second output has a limited current of approximately 3A and has a lower output voltage, which makes it suitable for topping up a starter battery. It has an automatic voltage compensation, where it will automatically compensate for voltage drop over direct current (DC) cabling by slightly increasing the output voltage in the event of DC current increase.

Like the other Phoenix Smart IP43 Chargers, when only shallow discharges occur, this unit prevents the battery from overcharging by keeping the absorption time short. In the event of deep discharge, it will automatically increase the absorption time to ensure that the battery will be fully charged. When high current and high absorption voltage has been chosen, this device will automatically limit the rate of voltage increase once the gassing voltage has been reached, thus preventing excessing gassing.

The Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30(1+1) 230V also features a storage mode which make it require maintenance. If the battery has not been used for 24 hours, Storage Mode will reduce the float voltage to 2.2V/cell. Thus, it is able to minimise gassing and prevent the corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, it will equalise the battery by raising the voltage back to absorption level. Thus, it is able to prevent stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation, which are both major causes of early battery failure.

All Phoenix Smart IP43 Chargers can also charge LiFePO4 batteries. By connecting an open collector optocoupler output or relay from a Li-ion BMS to the remote on-off port, the charger on-off control can be implemented. Furthermore, using a Bluetooth can completely control the voltage and current as an alternative.

Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30(1+1) 230V offers full programmable charge algorithm. Such can be achieved using Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. It also has a mode button, which allows the user to select from three preprogrammed algorithm. Bluetooth and the VE.Direct interface can also be used to program the device to trip on an alarm or other events.

All Phoenix Smart IP43 Chargers are equipped with on/off remote which consists of two terminals: Remote H and Remote L. A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected between H and L. Alternatively, terminal H can be pulled high, or terminal L can be pulled low.
