MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus
As the name suggests, Victron Energy’s MultiPlus is a combination of inverter and charger in one elegant package. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features.
The MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus offers proven reliability. The full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven its reliability over many years. The inverter of the MultiPlus models is short circuit proof and protected against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperature.
Victron Energy’s MultiPlus VE.Bus inverters/chargers have PowerControl technology that deals with limited generator, shore side or grid power. These are very powerful battery chargers and will draw a lot of current from the generator or shore side supply (nearly 10 A per 5 kVA Multi at 230 VAC). With the Multi Control Panel a maximum generator or shore current can be set. The MultiPlus will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is extra for charging, thus preventing the generator or shore supply from being overloaded.
The MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus also features PowerAssist, which enhances the capacity of shore and generator power. This is ideal for applications where peak power is frequently required for a limited period. MultiPlus models will ensure that the insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by the power from the battery. Nevertheless, when the load decreases, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.
The MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus also features high start-up power, which is especially helpful when there is a need to start high inrush loads such as power converters for LED laps, halogen lamps or electric tools.
The MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus also has a Search More, which decreases the power consumption by up to 70% when in no-load operation. In this mode the MultiPlus, when operating in inverter mode, is switched off in case of no load or very low load, and switches on every two seconds for a short period. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter will continue to operate. If not, the inverter will shut down.
The programmable relay of the MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 230V VE.Bus is set as an alarm relay by default. For example, the relay will de-energise in the event of an alarm or a pre-alarm in cases when the inverter is almost too hot, the ripple on the input is too high or the battery voltage is almost too low.
