Product Description
The Victron Lead Carbon Battery 12V/106Ah (M8) offers a better partial state-of-charge performance, more cycles and higher efficiency. One key advantage of the Lead Carbon Battery is that since the active material of the negative plate is replaced by a lead carbon composite to act as supercapacitor hybrid electrodes, the battery is able to reduce sulfation. This also helps improve the fast charge acceptance of the negative plate.
Aside from reduced sulfation in case of partial state-of-charge operation, this solar power battery also offers lower charge voltage, which in turn, leads to higher efficiency and reduced corrosion of the positive plate. Furthermore, the overall result of the previous advantages is they improve the life cycle of the lead carbon battery.
Researches and tests have shown that lead carbon batteries, like the Victron Lead Carbon Battery 12V/106Ah (M8), are able to withstand at least five hundred 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD) cycles.
