Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V-120A Intelligent Charge Relay

Victron Energy’s Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V-120A Intelligent Charge Relay is a heavy-duty relay battery monitoring device, which can be controlled by VE.Bus BMS. LiFePO4 Batteries are integrated with cell balancing, which is the first line of protection, while the VE.Bus BMS provides the second line of protection. The VE.Bus BMS can shutdown of the load in case of imminent cell under voltage, and shutdown or reduction of charging current in the event of over voltage, high temperature or low temperature. Nevertheless, the VE.Bus BMS, as efficient as it’s designed, cannot control all the loads and chargers directly. Thus, the Cyrix line can be used to shut down such loads and chargers under the control of the VE.Bus BMS.

The design of the Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V-120A Intelligent Charge Relay allows connect a battery charger with 3 seconds delay when the Charge Disconnect output of the VE.Bus BMS is high, if it senses 13,7V (resp. 27,4V or 54,8V) or more on its battery charger connection terminal, and if it senses 2V or more on its battery terminal (the Cyrix will remain open, if not connect to the battery). The Cyrix-Li Charge Intelligent Charge Relay will also immediately disengage whenever its control input becomes free floating, signalling cell over voltage or cell over temperature.
