The Cable for Smart BMS CL 12-100 to MultiPlus is a vital accessory that allows MultiPlus-II, as well as MultiPlus 500VA – 1600VA and MultiPlus Compact 800VA – 2kVA, to be used with Battery Management System products that do not have VE Bus interface such as Smart BMS CL 12-100 and the mini-BMS. Product Description
TheCable for Smart BMS CL 12-100 or Smart BMS CL 12-100 to Multiplus Cable should be connected to the remote on/off connected of the MultiPlus models:
For MultiPlus 500VA-1200VA models, you must connect the black wire to the ON terminal, while the red wire to the (+) terminal.
For MultiPlus Compact 800VA-2kVA models, the black wire needs to be connected to the middle terminal and the (IN) terminal is where you need to connect the red wire.
For MultiPlus-II models, the black wire of this solar power equipment accessory should be connected to the (-) terminal, while the red wire should be connected to the upper (+) remove on-off terminal.
In order for the MultiPlus models to operate, both the Load/Charge Disconnect outputs of Smart BMS CL 12-100 and Load/Charger outputs of the mini-BMS must be in a ‘High’ state. To reset the system after a shutdown due to low battery voltage, you can either run the alternator or use a battery charger on the primary side of the Battery Management System. This will switch the MultiPlus on and start charging, but only if it is connected to an AC power source.
